HP 35s scientific calculator for iPhone, iPad and MacRPN 35s — HP's programmable scientific calculator, in RPN or ALG, to twelve digits.
The HP 35s is HP's programmable scientific calculator: RPN or algebraic entry, a two-line display, equations you type and solve, integration, complex numbers and vectors, number bases, statistics, and keystroke programs with labels, loops and subroutines. RPN 35s puts one on your iPhone, iPad and Mac, with the face, the keyboard and the display of the real thing.
What you get
Computes as the 35s does
A new simulator written from the calculator's user's guide, every worked example of the guide serving as a test: twelve digits, with its menus, messages and prompts.
RPN or ALG
RPN with its four-level stack and LAST x, or algebraic entry with the expression on the first line.
Equations, SOLVE and integration
Type equations in the equation list, evaluate them, SOLVE them for any variable, integrate them; the built-in 2×2 and 3×3 linear systems.
Complex numbers and vectors
x+iy or polar form, with their arithmetic, powers, logarithms and trigonometry; vectors of two or three dimensions with the dot product.
Fractions and bases
Fractions shown and typed as fractions; hexadecimal, octal and binary on 36 bits with AND, OR, XOR, NOT, NAND, NOR.
Constants, conversions, statistics
The 41 physical constants and the unit conversions; statistics on one or two variables, linear regression and estimates.
Keystroke programming
Labels, GTO and XEQ, tests, flags, ISG and DSE loops, INPUT and VIEW, equations in programs, SOLVE and integration of a program; 26 variables and the indirect (I) and (J).
Two faces, memory, manuals
Two photographs of an HP 35s to choose from, Matte and Bright; Continuous Memory; HP's Quick Start Guide and User's Guide (six languages) read next to the calculator.
Offline, private
No account, no ads, no tracking, no data collection; the network is used only to download a manual you ask for.

Why an HP 35s?
The HP 35s (2007) is HP's keystroke-programmable scientific calculator, the one engineers and surveyors take into exams where graphing calculators are not allowed: RPN or algebraic, equations, SOLVE and integration, complex numbers and vectors. RPN 35s brings it to the iPhone, iPad and Mac, computing to its twelve digits. Its predecessor, the HP 32SII, is RPN 32sII; the HP 15C is RPN 15C.
About the calculator
The app contains no HP software and needs no ROM: the calculator was written from its user's guide alone, its worked examples serving as tests. The network is used only to download one of HP's manuals when you ask for it; everything else stays on your device.
